The legendary piano brand Steinway & Sons has presented a limited edition for the 20th anniversary of the Crown Jewels collection: the Black Masterpiece. It is made in 20 copies with 20 of the most prestigious wood species.
The Black Masterpiece represents a symbol of craftsmanship excellence combined with incredible technology. It will delight music lovers who appreciate the extraordinary design and unmistakable sound of Steinway & Sons pianos.
With its sleek design and minimalist lines found all the way down to the music stand and kickstand, this piano is a deep black, never before seen from Steinway. The woods used: Macassar ebony, olive wood, plane tree, tamo, eucalyptus or jatoba. These woods are not polished (contrary to the woods of other Steinway) but beaten, which allows to perceive the veins according to the light. In a limited edition of 20 pieces, each instrument has a numbered medallion inside the belt. Equipped with a cable integrated into the music stand, the Black Masterpiece can be used to charge the iPad on the piano or to connect a USB key.
