The partially submerged Floating Seahorse villas float and moor around the World Islands off the coast of Dubai. These stunning three-storey contemporary homes have an underwater level, a floor at sea level and a terrace above.
The Floating Seahorse is said to be a hybrid between a villa and a boat. With no propulsion or navigation systems, these 370m2 houses are set up by construction cranes before being anchored to the ocean floor. The floors, framed in lightweight aluminium, resemble luxury yachts. The underwater level houses the master bedroom and a bathroom, with a breathtaking view of the artificial coral reef and its underwater life.
